Today, this statue appeared on the altar in the Priory’s front yard.
We don’t know who put it there. We just feel a sincere prayer.
The thought of sharing it with you in a few words leads to a search for the meaning of “Metta”.
We found these words in the definition: benevolence, loving-kindness, friendliness, amity, good will, and active interest in others.
This brings out our heartfelt gratitude as well:
Since the announcement of “shelter in place” a month ago, the Priory has received food offerings of granola, almond nuts, and green vegetables. The Priory has continued to receive its usual generous financial support arriving via mail, bank transfer and online donations. Members of the priory have come to take care of the front garden.
These actions are descriptions of “Metta.”
A few days ago, something also appeared on the Priory driveway: LOVE

To whomever wrote it, we would like to say “Metta”.
May all be well, happy and peaceful!
